East Cobb Branch Youth Tutoring 2019-2020 XIV – East Cobb Library

On October 5, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held East Cobb Youth Tutoring program at East Cobb Library. A total of six students showed up, with two tutors to help the students.

The East Cobb Branch holds the Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, giving kids in the Cobb area an opportunity to receive help. The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.

This time, the tutors taught six students. Three were elementary school students and three were middle school students. The tutors worked on a variety of subjects with their students. The program gives students a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics students such as math, reading, and science.

One student came in for help because she missed a couple days of school. Through the tutoring program, she felt she understood the material from class much better than before. The tutor was also able to clarify some things from much earlier in the year that she hadn’t understood.
