On Tuesday, June 25, 6 members of East Cobb Young Musicians performed at Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex for 1 hour.
Members performed pieces such as The Swan, Minuet, and a Beethoven Sonata. There were a variety of instruments played such as the piano, cello, violin, flute, and clarinet. Some members also performed Canon in D and Amazing Grace as duets.
When the members arrived at Dorothy C.Benson, the seniors welcomed them with excited faces. While the members performed, the seniors listened to the music with cheerful smiles. At the end of the performance, the members all sang while Jack played the piano to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, and the seniors clapped along with them. The members were all delighted to be able to perform for such an amazing audience and were happy to be able to share their love of music with the seniors.
