In collaboration with Serve for Good, members of AYLUS Fort Bend branch volunteered for the program Friends of the Houston Public Library. The Friends processes books that have been donated by Houston Public Library branches and by the community, then sells the books at affordable quarterly book sales and on its Amazon storefront. The sales fund literacy and cultural programs for the Houston community. We sorted donated and discarded books for community book sales, and scanned books using Neatoscan scanner. Our work also includes breaking down boxes, moving books to other areas in the warehouse, and entering book details for potential buyers around the world.
