On November 9th, 2018, students from the San Diego Branch of AYLUS organized and participated in the 52nd Computer for Kids Lab, repairing and cleaning electronic devices in order to prepare them to send to children of low-income families. This helps the kids achieve academic success through possible access to technology.
The participants did the following:
- 371 Mice + 2 power cords packed and ready for distribution.Students separated a donation and counted inventory from Qualcomm:50 – Docking Stations

85 – Cords
30 – VGA Cords
13 – Office Phones
15 – Laptop Bags
55 – Power Adapters
20 – Monitor Stands
200 – Misc. Cords
150 – Power Cords
So far, the San Diego branch students have accomplished the following since the first Computer for Kids Lab of this year:
- Diagnosed, repaired, tested, or sleeved 4,482 notebooks/netbooks/laptops/tablets/desktops
- Tested and repaired 296 LCD monitors
- Diagnosed, tested, wiped, counted, and cloned 3,535 hard drives
- Wrapped, folded, sorted, and packed 10,309 mice/keyboards/power cords/adaptors/batteries
- Tested and Bagged 125 Speakers
The following members participated: Rolan Guang, Tianrui He, Chengda Li, Chengming Li, Eric Li, Simon Shao, William Sun, Emily Wang, Kevin Wang, Michael Wang, Ruinan Wang, Gary Wu, Richard Wu, Kyne Xie, and Nathan Yang.
