On November 23, 2017, the Cypress, TX Branch of AYLUS volunteered a local community event: the annual Turkey Trot. This year, the event was named after a significant person who has done good deeds in the community. As volunteers, we were in charge of the water stations and also handing out medals to the racers. The participation was great – everyone of every age showed up to get a morning exercise. And as they finished one by one, the runners almost overwhelmed us as they emptied our supply of water bottles. But overall, the event was spectacular, and we had a great time volunteering there.
