For the past three months, from April to June, the Sugar Land Branch has been running an ongoing book drive in an effort to help underprivileged children. The branch has donated over 4000 books to both the Legacy Community Clinic and the Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital. The members of the branch have been volunteering bi-weekly at Legacy, reading to kids and helping them build a home library. They have held several reading events and will continue to volunteer there in the future. Their efforts to combat illiteracy have been greatly appreciated by the community.
