On April 19th, 2016, Christie and Melinda Yu visited Tingting (7) and Hanhan (6), two severe burn victims, at Boston’s Shriners Hospital for Children. In the past months, Christie and Melinda have been tutoring these two girls in English speaking online, making the four of them old friends. Today, they met again with the girls to celebrate Tingting’s birthday, and to see Hanhan for the last time before she departs to China. They brought groceries, gifts, and toys, so these girls and their parents can live comfortably during their stay in Boston. Christie taught them some English phrases, and how to draw, and they had a great time. Happy birthday, Tingting, and safe travels, Hanhan!
