On February 7th, 2016, to usher in the lunar new year, South Boston Branch’s co-Presidents Christie Yu and Allen Xu, along with Yifei Zheng, Sara Song, Christine Shi, Katherine Chen, Jia Yan, Cory Zhou, Selina Lin, Ryan Lin, Albert Wu, and Brendan Xu held a third art auction at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School to fundraise for severe burn victims Liu ShiWei (10 years old) and Liu Jinlei (9 years old). Volunteers hoped that while celebrating Chinese New Year with their families, their efforts in hosting the art auction could secure Liu ShiWei and Liu Jinlei happy, fulfilled, healthy lives as well. Thank you to the volunteers of South Boston Branch for taking time out of their celebration of the incoming new year to think of others and show their compassion, initiative and creativity!
