Michelle Wang (5th grade)
“Yes, I can help.”
9 December, 2015
Hello, I’m Michelle Wang, a 10 year old girl. I am going to tell you what I do in my house, school, and my community and also what I’m going to do in the future to help.
I can do wonderful jobs in my house. When I was three years old, my mom was sick. I went to the refrigerator and got out a banana and gave it to my mom. She was really happy and she felt much better. When I was four I cleaned the bedroom when my mom was in the living room. When she came in the bedroom, she was surprised to see the whole room clean. To this day, I also decorate my room so it looks nicer.
I can do great things in school. Whenever the teacher is teaching and a student doesn’t understand it,
I explain to them what it really means until they really understands it. When my teacher needed someone to pass out papers, I volunteered to pass it out. Also, whenever I see a friend who is lonely and sad, I go to my friend and give them some company. If I could do this again in my future, I would always volunteer to help and also explain to the students if they do not understand the concept. I will also ask questions when I do not know the concept myself.
I can really help my community. When it was Thanksgiving, I bought Burger King and some canned food and gave them to 4 homeless people and they were very happy that they all had a feast together. I also donated some toys to the kids who don’t have a family and put them in the donation bin. In the future, I would give homeless people at least a 1 dollar bill and also donate some clothes and toys. I will also try to make the earth “green” by picking up garbage and put them in the recycling bin and also reduce, reuse, and recycle!
I also travel around internationally with my mom to spread gospel and let people know about God. When more people know God, the world is going to be better. And we can all go to heaven together.
Overall, these are some things I did to help my house, school and the community to make the world a better place.
For my future, I want to be an architect and build lots of buildings for less fortunate people, for their education, housing, work buildings for a job, hospitals for sick people, and also much, much, more!
A few questions to ask you:
What will you do if you wanted to help out? Will you want to make others think that you are really helpful? Will you make some good choices to help out other people? Won’t you like to do the same thing in the future?
Think about those questions for a few minutes and ask yourself about it. Will it be a “yes” or a “no”? Then, start planning for your future and good luck!
