Early Saturday morning, May 20th, three AYLUS members volunteered at Minnetonka Middle School East for the Tonka Youth Triathlon, from 7:45 to 10:45 am. One member (Penny) worked at the swimming area, and she took the swim times for the athletes.
The two other members (Isabel & Lucy) worked at the water station. Our task was to hand out water to the bikers finishing and starting their run, and giving water to the kids at the finish line along with their medals. There wasn’t enough hands to help, so we got some volunteers from other families or kids to help out. It was a fun teamworking experience, and was a cool thing to be apart of. Props to the volunteers who got up early on a Saturday to help out!
