On August 1st, 2022, three students in New Hartford, NY founded the one hundred sixteenth (116th) branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS): New Hartford, NY.

Description of the New Hartford Branch

Our mission at the New Hartford branch is to promote the development of member students’ leadership and creativity. It is our hope, that through hosting projects and volunteering, our students will build a stronger bond with the community, and truly understand the value of helping others; fully embracing oneself and others as pivotal roles to the community. At the New Hartford branch, we are fully committed to helping students realize their potential outside the academic space, we see the volunteer activities as opportunities for member students to connect to the real world, pushing them beyond their usual comfort zone, honing skills that may help them far beyond school and may prove to be valuable to whatever they wish to pursue in the future; all while giving back to their community. We unequivocally believe that the best way to learn is by helping others and welcome any students that wish to take on the task of
improving themselves and the community.
