On 9/17/22, the Metro Detroit Branch successfully completed the Hometown Hustle 5K Run event. The Hometown Hustle was held as a fundraiser for the RCS district to help students with their mental health and well being. The members of the Metro Detroit Branch volunteered to help the organizers properly clean up the site after the event was over. The members carried crates of water bottles onto a van and helped throw away boxes. The participants in the event were Brenden Niu and Dina Guo. The members hope that this event helps to emphasize the power of fundraising and to raise awareness for those in need.
