On Wednesday, August 18th, the Warren Branch volunteered at America’s Grow-A-Row event. Members harvested rows of corn by hand, placing them into burlap bags, and then emptying bags of corn into various large boxes placed around the field. The Warren Branch helped out at the Milford Farm location, from 4 to 6 P.M.
The combined total harvest of the day for all volunteer groups was 22,400 pounds of corn, or 89,600 servings. All corn harvested was donated to local communities to fight food insecurity.
