On February 18th, the AYLUS Auburn Branch cleaned up the Samford Avenue Pickleball and Tennis Center (901 East Samford Avenue). Auburn High School tennis teams used to have their tennis practices and home matches on these courts. Now, this newly renovated center is open for free to the public. It is one of the most popular places to play pickleball in Auburn, AL and is fully occupied by local exercisers daily.
Two of our members, who are school tennis team players, noticed the large volume of litter accumulated over the years around the tennis court, especially in the woods, and decided to give it a thorough cleanup on this beautiful Sunday afternoon.
