On November 22nd, the AYLUS Auburn Branch volunteered at The Food Bank of East Alabama (355 Industry Dr, Auburn, AL 36832) from 7am to 12pm. The mission of the Food Bank of East Alabama is to nourish lives through a strong and equitable hunger relief network while multiplying the generosity of a caring community. Our volunteers actively participated in tasks ranging from disinfecting food containers, sorting food items, packing boxes, to wrapping up with site cleanup. It was a gratifying and uplifting experience to contribute to FBEA’s mission just before Thanksgiving.
Our members who participated in this activity are Annie Bao (4.75 hours), Will Bao (4.75 hours), Victoria Choo (2.5 hours), Austin Zhan (3 hours), and Muntassir Omer (0.5 hour).
