On 11/8/ 2023, Aylus Great Neck hosted its seventh weekly tutoring session for nearby students in the Great Neck Library Station Branch.
Our volunteers, Siying Chen, Katie Yang, and Kalli Zhu, helped three students in various ways.
We first had a 7th grade student who wanted to learn about geometry and algebra, and we assisted him by providing notes and introducing him to many materials to get him prepared for high school.
We also had a student who had some homework to do but did not need much help with it.
Lastly, we had a 10th grade student who had questions about her Java assignments. Our tutor helped her understand what she did wrong and corrected it. We ended the session after an hour. We said goodbye to our students and left after cleaning up.
