On October 29th, 2023, AYLUS-Chapel Hill volunteered at Jordan Lake, picking up trash along the lake shoreline. Members had a productive session, filling up all their trash bags to their brims. Given the abundance of party drinks and snacks littered, we will suggest to the town to set up some trash cans: people need a place to throw away their trash. This being our 3rd time cleaning up Jordan Lake, we had a great time helping the community and cleaning up nature!
Volunteers who participated in this event are Luna Chen (1.5 hours), Nicholas Wang (1.5 hours), Ethan Li (DA – 1.5 hours), April Zhang (1.5 hours), and Lucas Zhang (1.5 hours).
