On Sep,16th 2023, Aylus held its annual Picnic in the Park Event. This event was primarily to welcome more community kids to become our members, contributing together to the community. Also we want all volunteers to be together and share their experience with each other and kids in our community. At the same time, we also invited students and seniors from our tutor programs to join the gathering. So they can meet with their partner teachers to better help them in the future.
Totally more than 20 families and more than 100 people came to the event.
At the event, Hans, the president of Aylus San Diego Branch, hosted the opening and introduced our organization. Each project leader presented their respective initiatives. Detailed information was provided for students interested in participating.
After the event, more than 10 students signed up for our programs as new members.
The following volunteers earned 4.5 hours because they took a lot of time preparing for the event and stayed for clean up:
