The Chapel Hill Branch members worked together on September 3rd to make special heart-shaped pillows by hand for cancer patients. These little pillows are really helpful for people recovering from cancer. They’re shaped like hearts and are great to use under the arm after someone has surgery to remove a lump, and they can also be used in the car to protect the chest from the seatbelt. Our members carefully selected various charming patterns and devoted hours to create these heart pillows, infusing them with an extra touch of warmth and care for those battling cancer.
We hope that the heart pillows we made with love will bring a big smile to the faces of those who receive them. We wanted to give them hope and strength during their battle with cancer, and we hope it makes a big difference in their lives.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Eric Sun (6 hours), Owen Xie (4.5 hours), Zhiyuan (Jack) Xu (6 hours), and Luna Chen (6 hours).
