“Young Writers Club” project, a program aimed at supporting and inspiring young writers in the San Diego Region, was a great success. Organized by Hans Yang from the AYLUS San Diego Branch, a Young Writers Club Session took place on August 12th, 2023. Students worked on their New York Times Summer Reading Contest submissions, during the last week of the contest!
Furthermore, a Young Writer’s discord server called “the nest” has been established. The nest gives young writers a place to showcase their work. They can also ask for help or provide feedback to other writers!
The AYLUS members who participated in the Writing Workshop Series on August 12th, 2023, were as follows, along with their respective volunteer service hours:
