College Station Branch sorts food for the Brazos Valley Food Bank on July 13th

On July 13th, 2023, the College Station AYLUS branch gathered at the Brazos Valley Food Bank for an important task of sorting and repackaging food. Their collective efforts aimed to ensure that individuals and families in need would have access to nutritious meals.

The volunteers sorted through boxes of discarded food donated from local grocery stores. They carefully inspected each item, ensuring it met the food bank’s safety and quality standards. Goods were separated based on the type and use of each item. Overall, hundreds of pounds of food were sorted into their correct category in order to be repackaged and given to underprivileged individuals.

The following members volunteered for two hours each: Justin Palazzolo, Graham Wolf, Linh Nguyen, Nina Nguyen, Peter Nguyen, Abigail Rhee, Hayoung Lee, and Andrew Li.
