In June, the Chapel Hill Branch organized a volunteer event to create handmade gifts for cancer care kits. Our members spent hours and days crafting heart pillows and handmade greeting cards adorned with hand-drawn pictures and encouraging words for cancer patients.
We believe that the heartfelt gifts we created will have a positive impact on the recipients. By offering them hope and strength during their cancer journey, we aspire to make a meaningful difference in their lives. We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers who contributed their time and skills to make this event possible. Their kindness and compassion represent the spirit of our community. Together, we have shown that small acts of love and support can have a significant impact on the lives of cancer patients.
Volunteers who participated in this event are Kevin Lu (6/28 – 2 hrs), Jack Xu (6/26 – 3 hrs), Eric Sun (6/29 – 5 hrs, 6/30 – 4 hrs), Luna Chen (6/27 – 4 hrs, 6/28 – 5 hrs)
