Murrieta AYLUS Volunteers at Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley #10 – Anniversary Sale at Design Center (6/03/23)

Reported by Jessica Lu

On June 3rd, Murrieta AYLUS went to one of Habitat of Humanity’s Design center to help with their anniversary sale. Members were given a thick stack of fliers and were told to go to Old Town Temecula to hand out the fliers to direct bypassers to go check out the ReStores. Members decided to go to the Farmers Market there since they were having a sale so there would be a lot of people there. Members would quickly introduce themselves and the anniversary sale that was going on to the person they were talking to. Many people acknowledged members’ hard work and some told them they were familiar with Habitat of Humanity and would check it out. When they finished the thick stack of fliers, members headed back to the ReStore and took a quick break. After their break, members walked around the store and interacted with the customers, asking them how they were or if they needed any help. Members did that for a little while more and that concluded their visit at the ReStore. Members enjoyed the experience of and a little glimpse into the sales life.
