AYLUS Volunteers Make Observations for the City Nature Challenge
On Sunday, April 30th, volunteers from AYLUS-Columbus helped Dublin participate in the City Nature Challenge. The City Nature Challenge is a global citizen science project in which cities and regions compete to get the most observations, and this year is Dublin’s first year of participating. From 12-2pm, volunteers explored nearby parks and made observations on the iNaturalist app. A total of more than 75 observations were made during this time, identifying almost as many different species in the area. Volunteers had lots of fun contributing to this global project and learned a lot about the nature in our own neighborhood that we see every day.
