On Sunday from 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm, the Roslyn AYLUS branch helped out at a school of Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island.
We assisted teachers and kids in second grade with their Midterm exam by helping the teachers pass out exams and answering questions when the kids needed help. We made sure that the answers were honest and all tests had names on them to prevent future confusion. This way, teachers wouldn’t have to ask whose test was who’s. We took the kids to the bathroom so the teachers could focus on the rest of the class and make sure the kids weren’t fooling around outside. Our help allowed the teachers to concentrate on teaching the rest of the class as well as assuring all students were paying attention.
