On March 9th, 2023, members of the AYLU-Columbus branch held another in-person tutoring session at Abbey Church Village in Dublin, Ohio. This community is part of the national church residences and serves low income families, including new immigrant families.
Starting from this week, the biweekly session is rescheduled into weekly sessions, with pupils on Wednesday’s session moving to the sessions on Thursday, with up to 10 pupils. On March 9th, Four AYLUS Columbus members, Brenna Li, Eliana Chung, Ayden He, and Daniel Zheng helped 4 elementary or middle school students. The volunteers then help the students with their math and English homework. Brenna LI’s mother, Dakun, was the adult supervisor of the session. a very smooth and productive session!
