Aylus Greater Triangle March 5th, 2023 Donation of Blankets for Earthquake-stricken Areas in Turkey
AYLUS headquarters called on 130 branches across the United States to lend a helping hand to the earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey.
Most recently, Turkey was hit by a devastating earthquake that left many dead and injured, and many people lost their homes and essentials. Aylus wants to convey warmth and strength to the victims.
It is reported that blankets are urgently needed in the earthquake-stricken areas of Turkey. In order to meet the needs of the residents in the disaster area, the AYLUS branch plans to purchase blankets uniformly and paste the logo of the volunteer organization to express our love. Each member donating more than 40 US dollars will be used to buy blankets, and the donated items will be sent to the Turkish embassy in the United States in the shortest possible time, and then sent to the earthquake-stricken areas.
Sky and Ria, the organization leaders of this action, expressed their gratitude to each volunteer and parent for their generous donation and support. They said that these blankets are not only to bring practical help to the disaster victims, but also to express the love of AYLUS (GTA) volunteers for the disaster victims in Turkey. Sky Tianyi Han and Ria started the planning process since early February, 2023. It took them nearly two weeks to establish contact with the authorities, carefully select and buy the blankets. They hope that these blankets can bring warmth and hope to the residents in the disaster area, and let them feel our support and care.
With the frequent occurrence of global climate change and natural disasters, everyone has the responsibility and obligation to provide assistance and support to the victims. This event is not only a specific action, but also an important measure to convey warmth and care to the unfortunate people in need.
We believe that through the efforts of the AYLUS branch and the support of all members, we can bring substantial help to the earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey and let them feel our support and care. Let us act together to bring warmth and hope to the victims and inject positive energy into our world!
