On March 1st, 2023, members of the AYLU-Columbus branch did their second in-person tutoring session at Abbey Church Village in Dublin, Ohio. This community is part of the national church residences and serves low income families, including new immigrant families.
Three AYLUS Columbus members, Kyle Xuan, Catherine Harman and Estella Li helped 4 elementary school students ranging from grade 1 to grade 4 first introduced themselves to each other. The volunteers then help the students with their math and English homework. Kyle Xuan’s mother, Connie, was the adult supervisor of the session. a very smooth and productive session!
