On February 26th, 2023, in order to promote volunteerism in the local Chinese American society ad expanding the influence of AYLUS, AYLUS-Columbus collaborated with the local Chinese language school (Ohio Contemporary Chinese School-OCCS) and invited representatives from the Dublin Education Foundation, Deb Papesh, and Dublin City School, Kristy Venne, who gave a presentation on volunteerism and networking on February 26th, sharing science and resources associated with networking and volunteering and their own parenting experiences. The presentation and discussion were very well received by the parents and students at OCCS.
AYLUS-Columbus members Rachel Zhu, Brenna Li, and Katie Lu, helped with event setup and tear-down, displayed the two AYLUS posters and answered questions from interested students and parents at the event.
