Project “Young Writers Club” is a program designed to provide free insight and support to aspiring young writers in the San Diego Region. In support of this program, an AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteer organized a Young Writers Club Session on Feb,11th 2023, which was extremely well received with nearly 70 signups in one day and nearly 30 attendees, which reviewed community pieces by local young writers and enriched parents’ and kids’ understanding on writing growth.
By establishing this program, AYLUS hopes to provide creative writing education and knowledge accessible to all, especially kids underprivileged or special needs by connecting with the community with their requests, needs, and feedback, and also by providing equal opportunity.
AYLUS Members that participated in the Writing Workshop Series on 2/12/23: Hans Yang (2.0 volunteer service hours), Max Yang and Enke Luo (1.0 Volunteer service hour each).
