On Monday, February 6th, Ethan Li met on a virtual call with Parks & Recreation leaders of the Town of Morrisville (Kyle Cooper and Steven Dickinson) to plan for the AYLUS Chapel Hill branch to adopt a trail through Morrisevills’s Stewardship program. This was a follow-up to communications with the town the past December. The stewardship program is designed to give members the opportunity to positively impact the shared spaces of their community, and as a result of the meeting the AYLUS Chapel Hill branch adopted Mills Spring Greenway, a mile-long walking trail that was in need of trash pickup and aesthetic upgrade. The branch will organize a volunteer workday at the greenway at least 4 times a year to complete projects ranging from normal trash pickup to possibly gardening and bench and sign installation. The AYLUS Chapel Hill branch is excited to add Mills Spring Greenway to their adopted trails and continue to give back to the community!
