Dix Hills Branch works with the HHH HSE Fencing Club to help provide attendees with filling foods on January 28, 2023.

The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch works with the HHH HSE Fencing Club to provide filling meals to attendees during the fencing tournament. Volunteers organized the tables, served meals, and packed up goods and items.

The event required volunteers to provide family members, coaches, and fencers their source of sustenance over the course of this event. Because this tournament is where the HHH HSE Fencing Club is hosting an event, of which multiple schools will attend with a large audience to cheer for their respective teams, volunteers were required to help out at the concession stand where everyone could get their lunches, snacks, and drinks. Many of the attendees and fencing participants did not bring their own lunch, so they needed the concession stand to be energized for their tournaments. The food items that were sold were of low price, not to profit, but to provide those of the event with filling meals. This included muffins, bagels, fruit, granola bars, cupcakes, donuts, chips, candy, fruit snacks, Soft & Chewy bars, PB and J, hot dogs, pizza, empanadas, pasta, mac and cheese, chicken strips, bingfen, cup noodles, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, Capri Sun, soda, Snapple, Gatorade, and water.

Working with the HHH HSE Fencing Club supports the local school and its programs, builds community spirit and cooperation, and gives back to the community and supports youth programs.

Volunteers: Ru Xue Jiang (7 hours and 30 minutes), Ming Chen (7 hours), Rachel Zhang (5 hours and 30 minutes), Nicole Shang (5 hours and 30 minutes), Sara Kong (2 hours and 30 minutes), Rohma Masood (30 minutes)
