The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch works with Long Island Chinese School to bring the greatest learning experience to children. AYLUS Dix Hills volunteers worked as teacher assistants, helping kids who were struggling to understand the lesson, making sure students were on task, watching the students during break times, passing out classwork, photocopying paper, and grading student’s work.
Later in the evening, volunteers worked to help the cultural classes such as Japanese and instrumental by the teacher discretion.
