On Monday, February 6th, 2023, three members from the Chapel Hill AYLUS branch delivered care packages to cancer patients at the UNC hospital on behalf of Kits to Heart. These care packages consisted of heart pillows, cards, bracelets, origami pieces, and other goodies that were handcrafted with love by members of the Chapel Hill AYLUS branch. Members graciously took time out of their day to create a meaningful impact in someone’s life. We hope these packages will brighten someone’s day and bring them encouragement as they bravely fight their battle against cancer. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact, even through a small act of kindness.
The volunteers who participated in this event are Nicholas Wang (1 hour), Luna Chen (1 hour), Alyssa Yuan (1.5 hours), and Eric Sun (1 hour).
