On January 22, 2023, Murrieta AYLUS members Jessica Lu and Hsin-Chen (Julie) Lu helped out with The Little Garden of Hope project. They were dismayed to see that the leaves of their white radish sprouts had been eaten. The members went around and found that the door to the garden bed had been left open. After they slid the door closed, the members went on to prepare two more beds by mixing in new soil and fertilizer in each. They planted cabbage and chili pepper seeds as well as garlic in the two beds. The members placed their tools to the side and made sure the doors for each bed were closed before leaving.
