Project “Libraries with love” is the continued program dedicated to building libraries in Uganda, East Africa. This project aims to collect & ship used books to build another 5 libraries for K-8 students in Africa in 2023. In support of this African Library Book Drive, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers organized a series of Charity Sales events during this winter break to raise fund for the shipping cost of the ~2000 collected books to Uganda.
By establishing libraries in Africa, AYLUS hopes to make literature and knowledge accessible to all. With this Arican Library Book Drive and Fundraising event, we also want to call out to our community regarding the importance of education, especially to those less fortunate than us.
