Project “Winter Writing Workshop Series” is a program designed to provide free insight and support to aspiring young writers in the San Diego Region over Winter break. In support of this program, an AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteer organized a writing webinar in December 2022, which was extremely well received with nearly 100 signups in two days and nearly 50 attendees, which reviewed community pieces by local young writers and enriched parents’ and kids’ understanding on writing growth.
By establishing this program, AYLUS hopes to provide creative writing education and knowledge accessible to all, by connecting with the community with their requests, needs, and feedback, and also by providing equal opportunity.
