The AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteered at Books For Development on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 9 AM to 12 PM.
Books for Development is a non-profit organization based in Houston, Texas that aims to increase literacy around the world, especially in underserved, developing, English-speaking countries. Books are sometimes taken for granted, Books for Development ships donated books to countries in need of books.
Volunteers made boxes which will later be used for packing. Volunteers also unboxed packages containing donated books and sorted them to the category the books belong to. And they helped put the sorted books into the prepared boxes which were later put onto pallets.
