On 8/20/22, to help Long Island’s environmental development, members of AYLUS Syosset went to the greenhouse in Brentwood, Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI), to complete the transplanting of native plants. This report is intended to show you our members’ characteristics and their attention to environmental protection. During this activity, our members are required to transplant various plans. The first plant that we received is a type of delicate and serried grass that is included in a little tank. It was tough to separate the roots since this type of grass is accompanied by many roots. However, our members are patient enough to separate these plants, then transfer them into soil pots. Subsequently, more plants came one after another, and our members perfectly completed the transplanting of each plant. Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) is a local non-profit organization that was established by all parts of society, such as non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, nursery professionals, and citizens, and their mission is to ensure the genetic integrity and biological diversity of local plants.
