On August 6, 2022, AYLUS Pearland hosted its first high school forum where upperclassman speakers from Dawson high school gave their advice and overview of the high school experience. Speakers were Sophia Fu, Kate Liu, Bharat Salvady, Howard Shi, and Fred Guo.
Similar to the annual college forum, the event consisted of the board of speakers answering a
selection of questions gathered on google forms, the AYLUS Instagram, the audience, and any other
sources. The five speakers spoke about their opinions and experiences with AP classes, extracurricular activities, and GPA ranking. Around 60 underclassmen, junior high students, and parents attended.
The event was hosted by Alexander Sun and William Sun (2 volunteer hours), who gathered and presented the questions to the speakers. A summary and notes was posted on WeChat.
