In order to help them conquer their language problems, we’re hosting this event to have volunteers help the ESL students. The lessons will be flexible times based on the schedules of volunteers and students, and be conducted on zoom. We hope that with this event we can help these ESL students adapt to their new surroundings and gain confidence!
Through this activity, AYLUS volunteers were able to teach 4 ESL students a wide array of topics and led them through many different discussions, each one tailored to suit the student’s individual needs. Each class is an one-on-one private lesson, with volunteers specifically matched with students. Overall, there were 14 (4 students, 5 parent advisors, 5 volunteer teachers) participants in this event. In case there is any confusion, one of the students was taught 2 different subjects by 2 different teachers.
