For Earth Day, the Riverside County AYLUS branch decided to recycle batteries and clothes during this week to help with ongoing ecological efforts to keep our environment and planet safe.
Several members collected used batteries that could have otherwise, if not properly recycled, lead to ecological damage. In addition, non recycled clothes contribute to an immense amount of trash in our landfills that pollute the environment. So some members went through their closets and carefully selected items they were willing to donate. The group has decided to keep this effort ongoing and to expand it by informing on a regular basis the community and the neighborhoods and by hosting regular battery recycling drives.
