On November 13, 2021, AYLUS Pearland Volunteers assisted in guiding and cheering on the participants during The Veteran’s Day Walk to commemorate Veteran’s Day at the Pearland Recreation Center. During the 3 hours of service in the morning from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, the volunteers were stationed around various checkpoints of the path that participants were to follow, setting up signs and directing them. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all volunteers were required to wear masks.
There were 4 stations around the path, each with a few volunteers. The path mainly circled around and into a neighborhood, with one point going outwards and a turn around point. Water was supplied to participants and the event was held successfully.
