Chapel Hill Branch Helped Kidzu Host a Table at Elf Market on Dec 4, 2021

On December 4th, the Aylus Chapel Hill branch volunteered in Kidzu children’s museum, a multi-sensory and play-centered facility that promotes creativity and collaboration for ages infant to tween by allowing them to engage in physical activities and arts and crafts. Our group helped to create a more robust and productive experience for the children by aiding in the Elf Market, Floating/Exhibits, and Makery sectors of the Kidzu premises. In the Elf Market section, preparing for the upcoming holiday season, we guided children in making ornaments to decorate Christmas trees. In the floating/exhibit section, we carried out physical activities such as rock climbing, tag, and playing with Gravitron balls. In the makery, we lend the staff an extra pair of hands to prepare almost 30 paper gingerbread men for children to decorate, also corresponding with the holiday theme. We also guided kids and parents to have enjoyable arts and crafts experience by providing materials needed for an art project such as papers, colored pencils, and googly eyes.
