On October 12th, AYLUS members volunteered for the voter registration initiative organized by the Center for Pan Asian Community services (CPACS). We used the SPOKE text banking website to send messages. For about an hour and a half, the volunteers sent thousands of texts, urging people to use their voices and vote. We could also answer questions that any individuals had about the election or the voter registration process. At the end, Tiffany held a debriefing session to discuss our experiences and go over common questions that people may have had. It was an overall great experience for us to be able to make an impact on the community in this way.
