July 24th – July 31th Creating Volunteer App for East Cobb Branch AYLUS Report
This week, we added authorization and permissions to the contributions setting each of them an owner so volunteers would only be able to see their own contributions. We also added the edit and delete contribution functions. Then, we enabled the Cognito user pool and had a discussion about security and updating the sign-up flow.
The purpose of the app is to reduce the time spent on administrative activities including but not limited
to logging volunteer hours, taking attendance for volunteer events, and signing up volunteers for events.
The app will allow more time to be spent participating in volunteering events and help reduce the time
spent organizing those events.
