During the fourth week in July, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their sciences Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide guidance on the sciences to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn scientific topics. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students understand the subjects of their teachings. Their sciences challenge camp activities included:
Meijia He taught her student Andrew Xu java on Saturday, 7/24, for one and a half hours.
Luke Qiao taught his students Angela Xue, Christina Huang Java Coding on Saturday, 7/24, for one and a half hours.
Hausen Wu taught his students William Cheng, Brian Yang, Stephen Ye, and Emily Huamg python on Saturday, 7/24, for one and a half hours.
Serena Liu taught her student Kate Liang 8th grade math on Saturday, 7/24, for one and a half hours.
Jeffery Guo taught his students Anthony Jiang, Mike Bai, and Byron Lu Precalculus on Wednesday, 7/21, for a half hour.
In total, there were 16 participants in this event, with 5 volunteers.
The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 73rd online Sciences Challenge Camp activity on the fourth week of July, 2021.
