AYLUS Pearland July 4th Milk Tea Sale Fundraising to support Houston C.A.R.E.

On July 4th, 2021, AYLUS volunteers sold Boba milk teas, sodas, and chips for the Chinese American Relief Effort (CARE) 2021. The milk teas were sponsored by Mr. Brian Liu. Hosted by Houston CARE, the event was located at the Plaza Americans in Houston city.

Volunteers worked 4 hours from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on to introduce the Boba tea sales to crowd, help customers in line, sale tea and chips, and sort cups. In the beginning, volunteers spent a few minutes to get familiar with their roles, but they learn quickly. Everyone was working hard. The fundraiser ended up being very successful. All raised money would be donated to C.A.R.E. project to purchase school supplies for students at the local elementary school.

10 volunteers who attended the event are: Sean Yu, Geoffrey Liu, Michaela Yang, Yifan Wang, Yichen Wang, Caleb Ni, Jerry Tong, Joanna Jiang, and Roy Wang. They work 2 hours, Enny Gong worked 2 shifts of 4 hours. It took 1 hour transmit from Pearland to Plaza American and back.
