During the fourth week in June, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their sciences Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide guidance on the sciences to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn scientific topics. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students understand the subjects of their teachings. Their sciences challenge camp activities included:
Meijia He taught her student Andrew Xu java on Saturday, 6/26, for one and a half hours.
Luke Qiao taught his students Tristan Shi, Gregory Ellinghaus, and Christina Huang Java Coding on Saturday, 6/26, for one and a half hours.
Jeffery Guo taught his students Anthony Jiang, Martin Nguyen, Byron Lu, Adam Nyugen, Mike Bai, and Maggie Chen precalculus on Saturday, 6/26, for one and a half hours.
In total, there were 7 participants in this event, with 2 volunteers.
