During the second week in April, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their sciences Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide guidance on the sciences to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn scientific topics. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students understand the subjects of their teachings. Their sciences challenge camp activities included:
Hausen Wu taught his students William Cheng, Eric Li, Brian Yang Python coding on Saturday, 4/10, for one and a half hours
Harry Li taught his student Nathan Xu, and Philip Zhang Chess on Saturday, 4/10, for one and a half hours.
Nathan Guo taught his students Benjamin Guo, Linda Yang, and Edmond math on Tuesday, 4/6, for one and a half hours.
Luke Qiao taught his students Tristan Shi, Gregory Ellinghaus, Junpeng Zhao, Angela Xue, and Christina Huang Java Coding on Saturday, 4/10, for one and a half hours.
Jiesheng He taught his students Tony Yi and max zhang Chess on Saturday, 4/10, for one and a half hours.
Chang(Bill )Zhao taught his students Tristan Shi and Barbara Zhao AMC 8 on Sunday, 4/11, for one and a half hours.
In total, there were 23 participants in this event, with 6 volunteers.
The AYLUS San Diego Committee organized the 58th online Sciences Challenge Camp activity on the Second week of April, 2021.
